  1. 1. Subsurface characterization of the Lund Sandstone – 3D model of the sandstone reservoir and evaluation of the geoenergy storage potential, SW Skåne, south Sweden-merged

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Author : Erik Aldenius; [2019]
    Keywords : Energy storage; CAES; geothermal energy; Lund Sandstone; renewable energy; geoenergy; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : In order to decrease the dependence on fossil fuels it is of paramount importance that renewable sources are used as effectively as possible. Therefore it is necessary to store excess energy when supply is higher than de-mand. One way to do so is by storing the energy as compressed air in a porous aquifer. READ MORE

  2. 2. Geophysical characterization and petrographic analysis of cap and reservoir rocks within the Lund Sandstone in Kyrkheddinge

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Author : Mikael Jakobsson; [2014]
    Keywords : wire-line logging; Lund Sandstone; natural gas storage; Scania; Reservoir rock; reservoarbergart; borrhålsloggning; Lundasandstenen; naturgaslager; Skåne; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : Geophysical investigations in the Kyrkheddinge area including seismic surveys and wire-line logging were carried out by Swedegas AB between 1978-1985. This study has used the data to make a geophysical and petrographic characterization of cap-rock and reservoir sections within the Lund Sandstone in Kyrkheddinge to evaluate the conditions for storing gas in the bedrock. 3. 3. Evaluation of wire-line well logs from the borehole Kyrkheddinge-4 by comparison to measured core data

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Author : Óluva Ellingsgaard; [2007]
    Keywords : porosity; permeability; well logs; wire-line; Kyrkheddinge; Lund Member; borrhålsloggar; porositet; permeabilitet; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : This study is an evaluation of formation characteristics, as derived from wire-line well logs, of the Lund Member in the borehole Kyrkheddinge-4, 3 km east of Staffanstorp, Skåne, Sweden, through the comparison to measured core data. The purpose is to assess the feasibility of using some of the porosity and permeability equations and cross-plots derived for the investigated section and applying them to deeper aquifer formations in Kyrkheddinge- 4, where no core data exist.
