  1. 1. A Positioning System for Landing a UAV on a UGV in a GNSS-Denied Scenario

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknik

    Author : Tim Wiik; [2022]
    Keywords : Sensor fusion; UAV; UGV; NIR-LED; Extended kalman filter; Unmanned Aerial Vehicle; Unmanned Ground Vehicle; Autonomous Landing; GNSS-denied Scenario;

    Abstract : A system of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) collaborating with an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) for use in for example surveillance, reconnaissance, transport and target acquisition is studied. The project investigates the problem of estimating the relative position, velocity and orientation between the UAV and the UGV required to autonomously land the UAV on the UGV during movement. 2. 2. Antenna as a sensor for sensing available LTE networks

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Barath Kumar Sathish Kumar; [2022]
    Keywords : Radio Frequency energy harvesting; Antenna as a sensor; Long-Term Evolution; Rectifier; Printed Circuit Board; Altium Designer; Matching network; Voltage multiplier; Schottky diodes; Multiband LTE antenna; Ambient energy harvesting; Low power Internet of Things; Wireless power transfer; Radiofrekvensenergiskörd; Antenn som sensor; LTE; Likriktare; Printed Circuit Board; Altium Designer; Matchande nätverk; Spänningsmultiplikator; Schottky-dioder; Multiband LTE-antenn; Omgivande energiskörd; Lågeffekt Internet of Things; Trådlös kraftöverföring;

    Abstract : This thesis primarily deals with the concept of designing an antenna based device to harvest energy from Radio Frequency (RF) and using the harvested energy to sense the available Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in order for the Internet of Things (IoT) devices to connect to the network for the purpose of transmitting and receiving data. Secondarily the importance of this project is targeting how to conserve battery power in an IoT device and extend it’s lifetime. READ MORE

  3. 3. Impact of different light sources on the responses of moth

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad

    Author : Yanhe Zhou; [2021]
    Keywords : Artificial light at night ALAN ; Greater wax moth; Light Attraction; light emitting diodes; LED; Galleria mellonella;

    Abstract : In recent decades, the negative effects of artificial light at night on natural ecosystems have attracted the attention of ecologists. Studies have shown that artificial light at night leads to a considerable reduction in insects and has a worrying impact on terrestrial ecosystems, including nocturnal insects (e.g. Lepidoptera) such as moths. 4. 4. Short wavelength UV–LED photoinitiated radical polymerization of acrylate–based coating systems—A comparison with conventional UV curing.

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Strukturkemi

    Author : Olof Torfgård; [2021]
    Keywords : UV; LED; UVC; UVB; UVA; paint; acrylate; curing; Sherwin–Williams; ATR-FTIR; spectroradiometer; photoinitiator; the mercury arc lamp;

    Abstract : The present work was performed at Sherwin–Williams Sweden group AB with the objective of comparing short-wavelength light emitting diodes (UVB/UVC) with the conventional mercury arc lamp as a curing method of acrylate-based, UV-paint undergoing free-radical polymerization when exposed to UV-radiation. Due to environmental and health risks, mercury-doped radiation sources will be phased out in the near future, according to the United Nations Minamata convention, hence new alternatives are needed. 5. 5. Compensating the Changing Reactive Power in the Medium-Voltage Grid in Stockholm

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Gabriel Nylander; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : A decline in inductive reactive power has been noted by several DNOs around Europe for the last decade. Why this is happening is unknown. One of the DNOs is the Swedish DNO Ellevio AB that has seen large decreases in demand of inductive reactive power from their primary substations. READ MORE
