    Abstract : In this paper, we look at 80 US firms that issue new equity in 2005 and examine their change in disclosure frequency (as measured by the number of press release) around the offerings, relative to the matching firms. Different from the findings in previous research, issuing firms in our study significantly increase their disclosure activities in the half year immediately following the announcement of new offering, relative to its matching firm.
