  1. 1. Evaluation of cognitive workload using EEG : Investigation of how sensory feedback improves function of osseo-neuromuscular upper limb prostheses

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk teknik

    Author : Linn Berntsson; [2019]
    Keywords : EEG; ERP; spectral analysis; cognitive workload; prosthesis;

    Abstract : The e-OPRA Implant System (Integrum AB, Sweden) is a system which employs permanently accessible implantable neuromuscular electrodes in combination with osseointegrated attachment of the prosthesis to the skeleton, in order to create a more natural control of advanced robotic upper-limb prostheses. The system enables the possibility of sensory feedback, via a cuff electrode to the ulnar nerve which allows for direct neurostimulation of the nerve. READ MORE

  2. 2. Finite Element Analysis of Osseointegrated Transfemoral Implant : Identification of how the Length of Implant Affects the Stress Distribution in Cortical Bone and Implant

    University essay from KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Author : Anna Pogosian; [2018]
    Keywords : Osseointegrated; Implant; Transfemoral; Finite Element Methods;

    Abstract : An alternative method of conventional prosthesis is  osseointegrated transfemoral implant, in where the prosthesis is fixated directly to the bone. The benefits with this system is increased range of motion, sensory feedback and reduced soft tissue problem. READ MORE

  3. 3. Development of a Standard for Structural Testing of Implants in Transfemoral Osseointegrated Prostheses

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Author : Sofie Ludvigsson; Emilia Öhr; [2016]
    Keywords : transfemoral amputation; osseointegrated prostheses; structural testing; OPRA; gait; simulations; OpenSim; Integrum AB; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The aim of this Master's Thesis was to develop a standard for structural testing of implants to be used in transfemoral osseointegrated prostheses, since there is a lack of such standards for this type of implant. The methods used in this project include a literature study, a review of ISO standards, simulations of gait in a software called OpenSim, and a comparison of the OpenSim results with measurements from a load cell. 4. 4. Instrumentation of Gait Analysis

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för informations- och kommunikationsteknik (ICT)

    Author : Weizen Ma; [2010]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This master’s thesis project “Instrumentation of Gait Analysis” was carried out at and funded by Integrum AB, Gothenburg, Sweden. Force analysis is critical during rehabilitation process of amputation patients, since overloading might place the bone-implant interface at risk; while underloading might extend unnecessarily the already long rehabilitation program [1].
