  1. 21. Design and Implementation of a Compiler for an XML-based Hardware Description Language to Support Energy Optimization

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Programvara och system

    Author : Ming-Jie Yang; [2017]
    Keywords : XML; hardware description language; compiler;

    Abstract : GPU-based heterogeneous system architectures are popular as they combine the advantages of CPU with the benefits of GPU. Development of high-performance and power-efficient software for heterogeneous system architecture needs to take both hardware and software specifications into consideration, which leads the software development process to be more complicated. 2. 22. Construction and benchmarking of adaptive parameterized linear multistep methods

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Author : Josefine Olander; Erik Jonsson Glans; [2016]
    Keywords : Linear multistep method; matlab software; variable step-size; variable order; numerical solver of ODEs; Mathematics and Statistics; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : A recent publication introduced a new way to define all k-step linear multistep methods of order k and k+1, in a parametric form that builds in variable step-size. In this framework it is possible to continuously change method and step-size, making it possible to create better behaving adaptive numerical solvers. READ MORE

  3. 23. Bayesian parameter estimation in Ecolego using an adaptive Metropolis-Hastings-within-Gibbs algorithm

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Author : Sverrir Þorgeirsson; [2016]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Ecolego is scientific software that can be used to model diverse systems within fields such as radioecology and pharmacokinetics. The purpose of this research is to develop an algorithm for estimating the probability density functions of unknown parameters of Ecolego models. READ MORE

  4. 24. Understanding Software Adaptation and Evolution

    University essay from Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för datavetenskap (DV)

    Author : Seva Meyer; [2015]
    Keywords : Software adaptation; self-adaptation; software evolution; evolutionary software;

    Abstract : Software maintenance is a significant part of software system lifetime. Softwaresystem lifetime incorporates many processes including software adaptation and software evolution. These processes collide into one another and create confusion as theboundaries that separate them are often difficult to distinguish. READ MORE

  5. 25. Evaluation of soft-tissue match methods for utilization in CBCT guided adaptive radiotherapy of lung cancer patients – clinical benefits, limitations and margin determination

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Medicinsk strålningsfysik, Lund; Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Author : Fatma Rahma; [2014]
    Keywords : Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Abstract : Purpose: The aim of this study is to a) study the benefits and limitations with soft-tissue match for lung cancer patients, b) evaluate five different soft-tissue match methods, c) compare soft-tissue with bony match, d) find the stable surrogates to match on for obscured malignant lymph nodes, e) calculate CTV to PTV and OAR margins and volume of PTV for the corresponding margins, and d) study the anatomical changes associated with radiotherapy for lung cancer. Material and methods: 23 lung cancer patients (16 NSCLC, 7 SCLC) treated with radiotherapy, with 135 weekly CBCT set-up images were retrospectively matched to the planning CTs by five different match methods using the registration software Offline Review, version 10.
