  1. 1. Audio Anomaly Detection in Cars

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för matematiska vetenskaper

    Author : Asma Hussein; [2023-09-11]
    Keywords : Audio Anomaly detection; Outlier detection; Machine learning; Mel Frequency; Chroma;

    Abstract : Audio anomaly detection in the context of car driving is a crucial task for ensuring vehicle safety and identifying potential faults. This paper aims to investigate and compare different methods for unsupervised audio anomaly detection using a data set consisting of recorded audio data from fault injections and normal "no fault" driving. 2. 2. Gender Bias in Machine Learning : The Effect of Using Female Versus Male Audio When Classifying Emotions in Speech Using Machine Learning

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Julia Adler; Klara Folke; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : To avoid discrimination between the genders and to improve the performance of machine learning, it is important to evaluate how different test data can impact how accurate machine learning models can be. This study investigates if the distribution between women and men in the training data affects how accurately different machine learning models can classify emotions used in the speaker’s tone of voice. 3. 3. Detection of insurance fraud using NLP and ML

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Rasmus Bäcklund; Hampus Öhman; [2023]
    Keywords : Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Machine-Learning can sometimes see things we as humans can not. In this thesis we evaluated three different Natural Language Procces-techniques: BERT, word2vec and linguistic analysis (UDPipe), on their performance in detecting insurance fraud based on transcribed audio from phone calls (referred to as audio data) and written text (referred to as text-form data), related to insurance claims. 4. 4. Spectromorphological Reductions : Exploring and developing approaches for sound-based notation of live electronics

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Musik, medier och teater

    Author : Hans Lennart Jonsäll; [2023]
    Keywords : live electronics; electronic music; electroacoustic music; notation; spectromorphology; typo-morphology; Sound Notation; digital musical instruments.;

    Abstract : In this master’s thesis, a sound-based notation system is explored and developed in the composition and performance of a musical work for live electronics. My approach builds on existing systems for electroacoustic music analysis, most notably Dennis Smalley’s (1997) theory of spectromorphology and the symbolic language of Lasse Thoresen & Andreas Hedman (2007) based on Pierre Schaeffer’s typo-morphology, as well as Mattias Sköld’s (2023) adaptation of this system for composition and transcription (Sound Notation). 5. 5. Text to Music Audio Generation using Latent Diffusion Model : A re-engineering of AudioLDM Model

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Ernan Wang; [2023]
    Keywords : Text to Music Audio Generation; Latent Diffusion; AudioLDM; Sampling Methods; Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Model DDPM ; Denoising Diffusion Implicit Model DDIM ; Text till musik Ljudgenerering; Latent Diffusion; AudioLDM; Samplingsmetoder; DDPM; DDIM;

    Abstract : In the emerging field of audio generation using diffusion models, this project pioneers the adaptation of the AudioLDM model framework, initially designed for text-to-daily sounds generation, towards text-to-music audio generation. This shift addresses a gap in the current scope of audio diffusion models, predominantly focused on everyday sounds. READ MORE
