  1. 1. Effects of natural aging and low strain-rate on mechanical properties of aluminium alloy sheets used in automotive industry

    University essay from Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för maskinteknik

    Author : Amirhossein Gholami; Ali Abedisamarin; [2024]
    Keywords : Ageing. AA6014. AA6016;

    Abstract : These days, lightweight materials such as aluminum alloy sheets, especiallythose in the AA6xxx series, are in high demand for use inthe automotive industry. During natural aging, the properties of aluminummay undergo significant changes due to the diffusion of atomswithin the crystal structure, impacting the strength and formabilityof aluminum sheets. 2. 2. Temperature Shocks and Price Stability

    University essay from Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi

    Author : Klara Strömberg; [2024]
    Keywords : Climate Change; Price Stability; Local Projections; United Kingdom;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates the interplay between temperatures and prices in an advanced economy context. To this end, I estimate the impulse response to a 1°C temperature anomaly on the UK economy. READ MORE

  3. 3. Formulation development, rheological characterization, and cosmetic evaluation of gel-creams

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Author : Carl Pontén; [2024]
    Keywords : Rheology; Texture analysis; Viscometry; Semisolids; Design of Experiments; Critical Process Parameters; Critical Quality Atttibutes; Pharmaceutical Technology; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Oil in water (o/w) emulsions are thermodynamically unstable systems composed of small oil droplets dispersed in a continuous aqueous phase. This means that given enough time, the two phases will separate. Pharmaceutical emulsions are used as a method of administering the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for topical applications. 4. 4. The effects of fishing on stability of a food web under climate warming

    University essay from SLU/Dept. Of Aquatic Resources

    Author : Gabriel Nordström; [2023]
    Keywords : fishing; climate change; temperature; predator; consumer; resource; stage-specific; food webs; ontogenetic assymetry; biomass overcompensation; emergent Allee effects; limit cycles;

    Abstract : Predicting the effects of fishing in a warmer environment caused by climate change requires knowledge of what trophic level is fished on, the physiological effects of temperature on fish, and how these two affect ecological interactions. Both temperature and fishing are known to affect the stability of food webs in several ways. READ MORE

  5. 5. Reprocessing and Characterization of Polybenzimidazole for High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Author : Douglas Björkengren; [2023]
    Keywords : polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells; PEMFC; HTPEMFC; polymer technology; polymer characterization; reprocessing; recycling; polybenzimidazole; PBI; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : A reprocessing method of poly(2,2’-(m-phenylene)-5,5’-bibenzimidazole) (PBI) membranes recovered from the production line of High-Temperature Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (HT-PEMFC) at Blue World Technologies (BWT) has been developed in order to reduce material loss in the production. Redissolution of scrap PBI membranes in poly(phosphoric acid) (PPA) and phosphoric acid (PA) was successful and the subsequent washing procedure produced PBI that could be redissolved in N,N-dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) and suitable for solution casting of new membranes.
