  1. 1. Where is my inhaler? : A simulation and optimization study of the Quality Control on Symbicort Turbuhaler at AstraZeneca

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för matematik och matematisk statistik; Umeå universitet/Institutionen för matematik och matematisk statistik

    Author : Shirin Haddad; Marie Nilsson; [2019]
    Keywords : Discrete event simulation; Evolution strategies; Distribution fitting;

    Abstract : Symbicort Turbuhaler is a medical device produced by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca for the treatment of asthma and symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The delivery reliability of the product is dependent on the performance of the whole supply chain and as part of the chain the results from the department, Quality Control (QC), are mandatory to release the produced batches to the market. 2. 2. Study of Dark Matter Models in Astrophysics and Particle Physics

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Partikelfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Isabelle John; [2019]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : From astrophysical and cosmological observations, it is known that most of the matter in the Universe is dark. This matter could be explainable by new particles, not included in the Standard Model of Particle Physics. READ MORE

  3. 3. Catalytic Upgrading of Fast Pyrolysis Bio-oil Using Zeolites

    University essay from KTH/Kraft- och värmeteknologi

    Author : Elena Wikberg; [2019]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Fast pyrolysis bio-oil is considered as a possible source for production of liquid bio-fuels and bio-chemicals enabling the necessary transition to a renewable energy system. In this Master’s thesis work the upgrading of fast pyrolysis bio-oils with Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) conversion process at industrially relevant conditions is studied using Fluid Catalytic Cracking Micro Activity Test (FCC MAT) unit at RISE ETC in Piteå, Sweden. 5. 5. Optical Analysis of the Hydrogen Cooling Film in High Pressure Combustion Chambers

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Rymdteknik

    Author : Fabian Weber; [2019]
    Keywords : optical; analysis; hydrogen; h2; cooling; film; high; pressure; combustion; chambers; rocket; engine; thrust; experimental; oh*; shadowgraphy; flame; emission; lox; liquid; bipropellant; cryogenic; efficiency; heat; flux;

    Abstract : For performance optimisation of modern liquid cryogenic bipropellant rocket combustion chambers, one component which plays an important role in reducing the wall side heat flux, is the behaviour of the cooling film. At the Institute of Space Propulsion of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Lampoldshausen, hot test runs have been performed using the experimental combustion chamber BKM, to investigate the wall side heat flux which is -- among other factors -- dependent on cooling film properties.
