  1. 6. Use cases for traceability systems : An explanatory case study about the application areas for QR codes

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik, konst och samhälle

    Author : Oliver Strömberg; [2023]
    Keywords : Product service systems; Use phase data; Use cases; QR code; Manufacturing;

    Abstract : The customer concept becomes more intertwined with the provider of products as serviceoriented business models is offered to the customer. This shift is referred as servitization in which innovation occurs in the company processes by shifting focus from providing products to providing product service systems (PSS). READ MORE

  2. 7. Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments as an organisational learning bridge for resilience building? A case study of Red Cross National Societies in the Caribbean

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Author : Gwenaëlle Delcourt; [2023]
    Keywords : Organisational learning; resilience; vulnerability and capacity assessments VCAs ; red cross red crescent; Disaster risk management; MMO; Social Sciences;

    Abstract : Adaptive capacity based on organisational learning (OL) is at once a critical imperative facing humanitarian organisations in their mission to save lives and support communities most at risk; and inherently evidenced as an enduring weakness over the past decades. Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments (VCA) are community-based risk assessments established for their utility in supporting communities’ iterative learning. READ MORE

  3. 8. A digital integer-N PLL architecture using a pulse-shrinking TDC for mmWave applications.

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Simon Richter; [2023]
    Keywords : Phase-locked-loops; All-digital Phase-locked-loops; Time-to-digital converters; 5G and beyond; Radio-frequency design; Fas-låsd-loop; Helt-digital fas-låst-loop; Tid-till-digital-omvandlare; 5G och framtiden; Radio-frekvens design;

    Abstract : With the move of the broadband cellular network towards 5G taking off and the preparatory work on 6G and beyond starting, the need for low-complexity, low-power, and high-performance frequency synthesis using Phase-Locked Loop (PLL)s increases. As we get deeper into the mm-wave frequencies and push towards frequencies in the order of 50-70 GHz design challenges with existing PLL architectures, such as limited technology scaling and limited in-band noise performance become more apparent. 4. 9. RF Compressor (SLED) Phase-Modulation to Reduce Peak Fields in the MAX IV Linear Accelerator

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Joel Ekström; [2023]
    Keywords : Accelerator; MAX IV; LINAC; Phase-modulation; SLED; Pulse compression; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Modern particle accelerators need strong electric fields in order to produce high energy particles. Such high voltages are typically reached by injecting pulsed radio frequency power through several steps of amplification. At the end, pulse compression is used to further improve the energy gain at the cost of pulse-length. READ MORE

  5. 10. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique

    University essay from KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Gustav Thessén; [2022]
    Keywords : µ-CT modelling; phase-field method; bio-glass scaffolds; strength assessment; Mikrotomografi; μ-CT; fasfältsmetoden; bio-glas stödstrukturer; brottgräns;

    Abstract : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold.
