  1. 21. Macroprudential regulation of borrowing standards: a comparative analysis of loan-to-value and loan-to-income policies.

    University essay from Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomi

    Author : Sante Carbone; Oona Hakala; [2019]
    Keywords : Consumer Debt; Crisis; Housing; Housing Finance; Bayesian;

    Abstract : Starting from the Two-Agents New-Keynesian DSGE framework presented by Iacoviello and Neri (2010), we re-write the model allowing for a loan-to-income (LTI) constraint in place of a loan-to-value (LTV) constraint. We derive a balanced growth path equilibrium for our model and compare steady-state results as well as dynamic responses to a rich set of shocks between the two macroprudential regulations. 2. 22. Modelling of Safety Concepts for Autonomous Vehicles using Semi-Markov Models

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Signaler och System

    Author : Carl Bondesson; [2018]
    Keywords : Semi-Markov processes; continuous-time Markov chains; safety; steady-state distribution; dependability; ISO 26262;

    Abstract : Autonomous vehicles is soon a reality in the every-day life. Though before it is used commercially the vehicles need to be proven safe. The current standard for functional safety on roads, ISO 26262, does not include autonomous vehicles at the moment, which is why in this project an approach using semi-Markov models is used to assess safety. 3. 23. Sustainable Aquifer Management in Small Island Developing States : A case study of Mauritius

    University essay from KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Author : Akshay Kowlesser; [2018]
    Keywords : groundwater modelling; coastal aquifers; small islands; saltwater intrusion; Mauritius; climate change;

    Abstract : Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are amongst the most vulnerable states in the world. They are subject to a number of stresses including economical, climatic and spatial restraints. This thesis investigates the effects that certain critical ‘stresses’ will have on the groundwater reserves of SIDS. READ MORE

  4. 24. Possible solutions to the failure of agri-environmental measures. Could increasing collaboration and knowledge save biodiversity?

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildning

    Author : Julia Weber; [2017]
    Keywords : Agri-environmental measures; agri-environmental schemes; ecological focus areas; farmers preferences; collective participation; Agriculture and Food Sciences;

    Abstract : The common agricultural policy (CAP) has been stated as one of the most important policies within the European Union (EU), and is the fundament for agricultural development in the member states. However, the CAP has been stated to effect biodiversity in a negative way. READ MORE

  5. 25. Low-Frequency Noise in InGaAs Nanowire MOSFETs

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Christian Mario Möhle; [2017]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Low-frequency (LF) noise (1/f as well as random telegraph-signal (RTS) noise) measurements were performed on high-performance InGaAs nanowire (NW) metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs). 1/f noise measurements at room temperature (RT) show that the dominant noise mechanism is carrier number fluctuations.
