Abstract: Background: Epilepsy is a common serious chronic neurological disease, and peoplewith epilepsy not only suffer physical pain caused by the disease itself but also sufferfrom a range of complex psychological problems. Epilepsy is a chronic nervous systemdisease that needs a life-long treatment. Patients with epilepsy need to self-adapt and seekhelp from faith and emotion, to improve the quality of care. From the perspective ofnurses, it is of great significance for care to explore the experience of patients withepilepsy care.Aim: To describe how adults with epilepsy experience living with epilepsy.Design Descriptive review of qualitative studies.Methods: Literature retrieval was carried out by using keywords in PubMed database,and the results were analyzed and discussed.Results: A total of ten articles were included in the review. There are three categories inthis study: (1) Cognition of epilepsy (2) The influence of daily life with the disease (3)Strategies to deal with epilepsy.Conclusions: People with epilepsy have different experiences. In addition to changingthemselves to adapt to epilepsy, people with epilepsy also need the support of others.Nurses should pay more attention to the psychological condition of epileptic patients,treat patients with care and empathy, and strengthen the care of patients.Keywords: Epilepsy, people with epilepsy, experience.
