  1. 6. Precipitation behavior of the super austenitic stainless steel SANICRO® 35 and the effect on impact toughness and pitting corrosion resistance

    University essay from KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Author : Shunyi Li; [2022]
    Keywords : Super austenitic stainless steel; solid phase transformation; TTT diagram; impact toughness; critical pitting temperature; TC PRISMA simulation; Superaustenitiskt rostfritt stål; fastfasomvandling; TTT-diagram; slaghållfasthet; kritisk punktfrätningstemperatur; TC PRISMA simulering;

    Abstract : This research extended the knowledge of the solid phase transformation and the resulting influence on impact toughness and pitting corrosion resistance in super austenitic stainless steel (SASS) SANICRO® 35. A time-temperature-transformation diagram (TTT diagram) was assembled by performing isothermal heat treatments in the temperature range of 650-1050 °C for different periods of time, ranging from 5 min to 500 min. 2. 7. Effect of the Cooling Rate and the Surface Film Composition on the Colloidal Stability of Whey Protein Based Emulsions of Triacylglycerols

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Author : Charlotte Schüler; [2022]
    Keywords : Emulsion technology; Fat crystallization; Emulsified triglycerides; Colloid science; Food technology; Agriculture and Food Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : The goal of this project was to investigate the effect and interplay of formulation and processing parameters on the colloidal stability of emulsified triacylglycerols from a product quality perspective. Different methods to quantify and monitor this effect over time were evaluated. READ MORE

  3. 8. Spectroscopic model characterisation of hot exoplanet atmospheres

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Elin Sandvik; [2022]
    Keywords : Transit method; Transmission spectroscopy; Exoplanets; Hot Jupiter; Modelling; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Hot Jupiters are gas giants under intense stellar radiation with short orbital periods of only a few days. Due to their large radii, hot temperatures, and large scale heights, hot Jupiters can be observationally characterised in detail through spectroscopy over an entire orbital phase. READ MORE

  4. 9. Rock Magnetic Studies of Magnetite and Quartzite: Results at Ambient Conditions and From Diamond Anvil Pressure Experiments (~2 GPa)

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Geofysik

    Author : Dimitra Daniil; [2021]
    Keywords : magnetic susceptibility; remanent magnetization; mDAC; AF demagnetization; NRM; IRM; ARM; magnetisk susceptibilitet; magnetisk remanens; mDAC; AF demagnetisering; NRM; IRM; ARM;

    Abstract : Numerous techniques are used to study the magnetic history and properties of rocks, which provides important data on the Earth’s interior. In this study we conducted a series of experiments on two different sample sets, comprising pure magnetite (Set1) and a mixture of magnetite-hemoilmenite-bearing quartzite (Set2), in order to gather information about their magnetic susceptibility and remanent magnetization. 5. 10. In vitro study of Biodegradation in Mg-alloys by Isothermal Calorimetry

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Author : Prasad Rajendra Kekare; Akshat Kulkarni; [2021]
    Keywords : Isothermal Calorimetry; Degradation of Mg Alloys; Supersaturated solid solution SSSS ; Corrosion rate; Aqueous corrosion.; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Magnesium corrosion in an aqueous environment is a multi-layer, complex process. A literature survey shows significant gaps and the modelling work reported indicates a lack of clarity in understanding the corrosion process. READ MORE
