  1. 11. E-noses equipped with Artificial Intelligence Technology for diagnosis of dairy cattle disease in veterinary

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Farbod Haselzadeh; [2021]
    Keywords : Artificial intelligence; Electronic nose; Gas sensor arrays; Principal component analysis; Autoencoder; Veterinary diagnose; Feature extraction; Dimentionality reduction; Normalization; Maskin intelligence; Artificial intelligence; Elektronisk näsa; Gas sensore array; Normalisering; dimensionalitetsminskning; Autoencoder; Klassificering AI; E-nose; Feature Extraction; Normalization; PCA; Autoencoder; Encoder; Decoder; MLP; Classifier; LDA; Support Vector Machine; Logistic Regression; Cross Validation; Signal segmentation;

    Abstract : The main goal of this project, running at Neurofy AB, was that developing an AI recognition algorithm also known as, gas sensing algorithm or simply recognition algorithm, based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, which would have the ability to detect or predict diary cattle diseases using odor signal data gathered, measured and provided by Gas Sensor Array (GSA) also known as, Electronic Nose or simply E-nose developed by the company. Two major challenges in this project were to first overcome the noises and errors in the odor signal data, as the E-nose is supposed to be used in an environment with difference conditions than laboratory, for instance, in a bail (A stall for milking cows) with varying humidity and temperatures, and second to find a proper feature extraction method appropriate for GSA. 2. 12. Graph Learning as a Basis for Image Segmentation

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Kim Lundbeck; Wille Eriksson; [2020]
    Keywords : Graph Signal Processing; Image segmentation; Graph Learning;

    Abstract : Graph signal processing is a field concerning theprocessing of graphs with data associated to their vertices, oftenin the purpose of modeling networks. One area of this fieldthat has been under research in recent years is the developmentof frameworks for learning graph topologies from such data. READ MORE

  3. 13. Automation of Kidney Perfusion Analysis from Dynamic Phase-Contrast MRI using Deep Learning

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Author : Andrés Martínez Mora; [2020]
    Keywords : Deep Learning; Segmentation; Kidney Imaging; MRI; Flow Analysis; Chronic Kidney Disease;

    Abstract : Renal phase-contrast magnetic resonance imaging (PC-MRI) is an MRI modality where the phase component of the MR signal is made sensitive to the velocity of water molecules in the kidneys. PC-MRI is able to assess the Renal Blood Flow (RBF), which is an important biomarker in the development of kidney disease. READ MORE

    Abstract : The Convolutional Neural Networks are getting more and more popular due to their applications in revolutionary technologies like Autonomous Driving, Biomedical Imaging, and Natural Language Processing. With this increase in adoption, the complexity of underlying algorithms is also increasing. READ MORE

  5. 15. Text and Speech Alignment Methods for Speech Translation Corpora Creation : Augmenting English LibriVox Recordings with Italian Textual Translations

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för lingvistik och filologi

    Author : Giuseppe Della Corte; [2020]
    Keywords : speech translation; parallel corpora; bilingual sentence alignment; sentence embeddings; cosine similarity; forced alignment; text collection; corpora creation; audio signal processing;

    Abstract : The recent uprise of end-to-end speech translation models requires a new generation of parallel corpora, composed of a large amount of source language speech utterances aligned with their target language textual translations. We hereby show a pipeline and a set of methods to collect hundreds of hours of English audio-book recordings and align them with their Italian textual translations, using exclusively public domain resources gathered semi-automatically from the web.
