  1. 16. Keramiska föremål i kontakt med livsmedel : en sammanställning av lagstiftning som rör keramiska föremål i kontakt med livsmedel samt faktorer som påverkar migration av metaller

    University essay from SLU/Department of Molecular Sciences

    Author : Viktoria Fahlgren; [2022]
    Keywords : keramik; keramiska föremål; kontaktmaterial; FCM; migration; metaller;

    Abstract : Utifrån en ny bestämmelse i livsmedelslagen ska livsmedelskontrollen framöver även omfatta material och produkter avsedda att komma i kontakt med livsmedel. Det här arbetet fokuserar på den lagstiftning som gäller för keramiska material i kontakt med livsmedel, hur migration från keramiska material påverkas samt en inventering av kontaktmaterialverksamheter inom Skellefteå kommun. 2. 17. FE Simulation of protective insulation of catalysts in exhaust after-treatment systems of trucks and buses : Investigation and characterization of catalytic converter support mat material for accurate modeling in finite element simulations

    University essay from

    Author : Manroop Bhattasali; [2022]
    Keywords : Catalytic converter; packaging mats; support mats; compression; friction; hyperelastic; hyperfoam; viscoelastic; canning; finite element;

    Abstract : The increase of new and ever more stringent emission legislation has brought about with it a surge in the demand for more sustainable automotive solutions. This has particularly been the case for automobiles, including heavy-duty vehicles like trucks and buses, with internal combustion engines, which now require the design and manufacturing of more durable and reliable components. 3. 18. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique

    University essay from KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Gustav Thessén; [2022]
    Keywords : µ-CT modelling; phase-field method; bio-glass scaffolds; strength assessment; Mikrotomografi; μ-CT; fasfältsmetoden; bio-glas stödstrukturer; brottgräns;

    Abstract : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold. 4. 19. Measuring Porosity in Ceramic Coating using Convolutional Neural Networks and Semantic Segmentation

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Author : Filip Isaksson; [2022]
    Keywords : Deep Learning; Image processing; Transfer Learning; Material Science;

    Abstract : Ceramic materials contain several defects, one of which is porosity. At the time of writing, porosity measurement is a manual and time-consuming process performed by a human operator. READ MORE

  5. 20. Brown impasto at San Giovenale : Technological change and use of a fine-ware ceramic during the Orientalizing period (730–580 BCE)

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för arkeologi och antik historia

    Author : Viktor Linusson; [2022]
    Keywords : performance characteristics; grooved pottery; ceramic technology; surface treatment; South Etruria; behavioural archaeology; oval hut;

    Abstract : Brown impasto is a fine, commonly burnished ceramic ware in use during the Orientalizing period in South Etruria. In previous scholarship, it has only been described, and understood mainly from funerary contexts. READ MORE
