  1. 1. Fabrication and Characterization of Nano-Confined Pd Catalysts for CO Oxidation

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Alfred Larsson; [2019]
    Keywords : Catalysis Palladium Nano Nanopore CO oxidation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : During this thesis nanoporous alumina has been used as a template for the synthesis of nano-confined palladium structures. The nanoporous templates have been synthesized by anodization of aluminum and characterized using atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), resulting in good statistics of the pore diameter and interpore distance of these nanoporous structures. 2. 2. Pumped Energy Storage Systemfor the Randenigala Hydropower Plant in Sri Lanka

    University essay from KTH/Energiteknik

    Author : Duminda Nalin Habakkala Hewage; [2018]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The main focus of this work is to introduce a pumped storage system to an existing hydro power plant located on the Randenigala reservoir in Sri Lanka. The selected power plant is located in an area where farming is done extensively, therefore electrical power generation and release of water to the downstream is to be properly coordinated with relevant authorities. 4. 4. Cooperative bargaining of Australian coal plants under a regulatory threat

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Economics

    Author : Justin Rolli; [2017]
    Keywords : brown coal; emission performance standards; Latrobe Valley; Nash bargaining; orderly exit; power plants;

    Abstract : The energy market in Australia and particularly the state of Victoria, finds itself in a precarious, transitional state. Researchers have concluded that barriers to orderly exit are present for highly-polluting and aged incumbent brown coal generation, further preventing renewable generation from entering the market (Riesz & Noone, 2013; AEMC, 2015a; Frontier Economics, 2015). 5. 5. Comparative analysis of development potential for biomass- vs coal-fired powerplants in Henan province,China

    University essay from KTH/Energiteknik

    Author : Dongcan Wang; [2017]
    Keywords : Coal-fired power plant; biomass; biogas; steam turbine; GTCC system; environment; ; kolkraft; kolkraftverk; biogas; biogasanläggning; ångturbin; GTCC system; ;

    Abstract : Coal-fired power plants’ typically large capacity and relatively low electricity generation costs in the Chinese power market can be compared with their typically low specific thermal efficiency and older age on average. At the same time, the environment pollution caused by local coal-fired power plants has started to receive due attention. READ MORE
