  1. 21. Energy and Circadian Assessment of a Combination Between Integrative Lighting and Daylight Harvesting

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign

    Author : Ribhi Attar; Omar Al Mawla; [2021]
    Keywords : ALFA; Circadian Entrainment; Correlated Colour Temperature; Cortisol; Daylighting; Daylight Harvesting; Energy efficiency; Integrative lighting; Intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells; Melatonin; Melanopic Lux; Photopic Lux; Spectral Power Distribution; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : This study deals with the health and wellbeing of humans who work in offices as well as the energy use for the lighting. The focus is on how integrative lighting and daylight harvesting can be combined in an attempt to reduce the energy consumption while still eliciting a circadian response for the workers. READ MORE

  2. 22. Scheme Theory & Weak Mordell-Weil for Elliptic Curves Over Number Fields

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH; Lunds universitet/Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten)

    Author : Carl-Fredrik Lidgren; [2021]
    Keywords : algebraic geometry; schemes; scheme theory; elliptic curves; Mordell-Weil; weak Mordell-Weil; algebraic number theory; arithmetic geometry; number theory; geometry; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Abstract : We provide an introduction to scheme-theoretic algebraic geometry, which studies spaces that are in essence locally solutions to systems of polynomial equations, and prove the weak Mordell-Weil theorem. The weak Mordell-Weil theorem states that for an elliptic curve $E$ over a number field $K$, the quotient $E(K)/mE(K)$ is finite for all $m\geq 2$. READ MORE

  3. 23. Detection of nitrous oxide through IR-DFWM in gas flows with future application in ammonia flames

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Martin Passad; [2021]
    Keywords : Physics; Optics; Lasers; Environment; Hydrogen; Hydrogen Energy; Ammonia Energy; DFWM; Ammonia; Nitrous Oxide; Ammonia Flame; Ammonia Combustion; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : This thesis report on an investigation into the applicability of mid-infrared degenerate four-wave mixing (IR-DWFM) as a method to detect N\(_2\)O in ammonia flames. DFWM has previously been used for concentration measurements on other molecules, but has never, to the author's knowledge, been applied to measure N\(_2\)O in ammonia flames before. READ MORE

  4. 24. Force-velocity profiling among handball-players

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kost- och idrottsvetenskap

    Author : Pontus Axell; Kalle Öberg; [2020-08-17]
    Keywords : Force-Velocity Profiling; Force-Velocity Relationship; Handball; Performance Analysis; Activity profiles; Vertical Jump; Developing Power;

    Abstract : Modern handboll har en intermittent karaktär som inkluderar ett flertal komplexa fysiska kvalitéer. Kunskap om dessa individuella fysiska krav mellan positioner verkar vara essentiella för att designa optimala tränings program för att maximera spelarnas potential på plan. READ MORE

  5. 25. Soft Robotics for Young People's Menstrual Health

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Kristin Lilja; Johanna Lundkvist; [2020]
    Keywords : Soft robotics; Menstruation; Human-Computer Interaction; Women s health; Technology; Innovation; Soft robotics; Menstruation; Människa-Data Integration; Kvinnohälsa; Teknik; Innovation;

    Abstract : Research within the fields of women’s health and specifically women’s menstrual health and technology is limited. As of today, problems associated with menstrual health, such as pain, discomfort, cramps, bloating, anxiousness and irregular period are resolved by using contraceptive pills or painkillers. READ MORE
