  1. 1. Structural analysis of HZO thin film and electrode using X-ray diffraction

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Elliot Winsnes; [2024]
    Keywords : HZO; hafnia; hafnium dioxide; zirconium dioxide; ferroelectricity; ferroelectric; synchrotron radiation; X-ray diffraction; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Since its discovery in 2011, the ferroelectricity of thin films based on HfO2 has been studied intensively. In particular, thin films with a 1:1 ratio of HfO2 and ZrO2 (HZO) has been of great interest. The ferroelectricity arises from a non-centrosymmetric orthorhombic (o) phase of HZO whose prevalence is dependent on the processing conditions. READ MORE

  2. 2. Probabilistic Added Wave Resistance Predictions for Design of RoPax Ferries

    University essay from KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanik

    Author : Jonathan Viinikka; [2023]
    Keywords : Added wave resistance in head waves; Roll-on Roll-off Passenger ferry; Probabilistic wave environment; Semi-empirical method; Adderat vågmotstånd i motsjö; Roll-on Roll-off Passagerar Fartyg; Probabilistiska vågförhållanden; Semiempiriska beräkningsmethoder;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates reasons for significant uncertainties in added wave resistance predictionsand how wave conditions can potentially affect the design of RoPax ferries. The objectiveis to find a suitable prediction method of added wave resistance for the RoPax ferry designapplication. READ MORE

  3. 3. Digital Front End Algorithms for Sub-Band Full Duplex

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Author : Midhat Rizvi; Khaled Al-Khateeb; [2023]
    Keywords : Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio; Bit Error Rate; Clipping and Filtering; Crest Factor Reduction; Digital front end; Digital Pre-Distortion Error Vector Magnitude; Frequency Division Duplex; Power Amplifier; Peak to Average Power Ratio; Peak Cancellation Crest Factor Reduction; Sub Band Full Duplex; Self-Interference Cancellation; Signal-to-Interference Noise Ratio; Signal-to-Noise Ratio; Turbo Clipping; Time Division Duplex; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Sub-band full duplex is a new communication scheme technology, where a single frequency band is partitioned into sub-bands for downlink (DL) and up-link(UL) transmissions, and both can take place simultaneously. The idea behind the sub-band full duplex development is to improve the throughput, and coverage and reduce the latency of the UL communication by allowing the UL reception during the DL transmission. 4. 4. Deep Learning-based Regularizers for Cone Beam Computed Tomography Reconstruction

    University essay from KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Author : Sabina Syed; Josefin Stenberg; [2023]
    Keywords : Adversarial Convex Regularization; Computer Vision; Cone Beam Computed Tomography; Convolutional Neural Networks; Deep Learning; Image Reconstruction; Adversarial Convex Regularization; Bildrekonstruktion; Datorseende; Djupinlärning; Faltningsnätverk; Volymtomografi;

    Abstract : Cone Beam Computed Tomography is a technology to visualize the 3D interior anatomy of a patient. It is important for image-guided radiation therapy in cancer treatment. During a scan, iterative methods are often used for the image reconstruction step. READ MORE

  5. 5. Current-Mode Class D Power Amplifier for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Yann Jean Michael Pirot; [2023]
    Keywords : Power Amplifier; Wifi; Digital Power Amplfier; Class D; RFIC; Analogue; Effektförstärkare; Wifi; digital förstärkare; klass D; analog;

    Abstract : Modern wireless communication techniques employed in the Wi-Fi® protocol, such as orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing exhibit analogue signals with high peak-to-average power ratio. Therefore, power amplifiers for Wi-Fi suffer from low efficiency when operating in back-off mode, away from their maximum efficiency at peak power. READ MORE
