    Abstract : This study probed a possible relationship between fantasy proneness and several ways of coping; task oriented, emotion oriented and avoidance oriented, and their connection with mental and physical health. The participants consisted mainly of university students (N = 51) and were given three scales; the Creative Experiences Questionnaire (CEQ; Merckelbach, Horselenberg, & Muris, 2001), the Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS; Endler & Parker, 1999) and a short version of the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI; Ruipérez, Ibáñez, Lorente, Moro, & Ortet, 2001).
