  1. 21. Intermediate layer contacts for tandem solar cells based on ALD SnO2

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomi

    Author : Georgia Iona; [2021]
    Keywords : Ald; SnO2; tandem cell; solar cell; IML; intermediate layer;

    Abstract : In this project, samples with a metal/semiconductor/metal structure were fabricated and investigated with the potential application as the interconnecting layer of a tandem solar cell in mind. Degenerately doped p-Si and n-Si were used as bottom (metal like) contacts, as Si represents one of the most common materials for the bottom cell of tandem devices. READ MORE

  2. 22. Acid sulphate soil in Falkenberg on the west coast of Sweden - The first discovery of active acid sulphate soil outside the Baltic Basin

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Author : Ida Kling Jonasson; [2020-09-09]
    Keywords : Acid sulphate soil on the Swedish west coast; formational environment; Tapes transgression; Resistivity measurements; Baltic Basin;

    Abstract : Active AS soil has several negative impacts on the environment due to their ability to severely decrease pH-values and mobilize metals bound in the soil. The negative impacts can especially be seen in aquatic environments that drains an active AS soil. READ MORE

  3. 23. Rainwater Infiltration Model of the Chocaya Basin using Hydrus-1D

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi; Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI)

    Keywords : Rainwater Infiltration; Alluvial Plain; Chocaya Basin; Hydraulic Conductivity; Double Ring Infiltrometer DRI ; Hydrus-1D; Electrical Resistivity Tomography ERT ; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : The objective of this study was to assess the rainwater infiltration process in the unsaturated zone in an alluvial plain. Particularly, this study is focused on the Chocaya basin in central Bolivia. READ MORE

  4. 24. Measuring resistivity in a contactless fashion

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Jim Klintrup; [2020]
    Keywords : resistivity; magnetic; field; diffusive; eddy; current; coils; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis work was to develop a rig to measure the resistivity of a metal sample. The initial testing of the rig would be done at room temperature and calibration of the setup would be done with aluminum samples and then metallic alloys would be studied. READ MORE

  5. 25. Evaluating locations for subsurface dams : Case study on Storsudret, Gotland

    University essay from KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Author : Karl Engström; Maximilian Skoglund Lartell; [2020]
    Keywords : Subsurface dams; MIKE SHE; groundwater; groundwater modelling; water resource management; resistivity measurements; hydrogeology; Grundvattendammar; MIKE SHE; grundvatten; hydrogeologi; grundvattenmodellering; vattenresurshantering; resistivitetsmätningar; hydrogeologi;

    Abstract : Due to precipitation poor winters and springs and over-exploitation of groundwater reserves during the summer months as a consequence of tourism, the island of Gotland has experienced fresh water shortages during recent years which has led to harsh restrictions in the use of municipal water. In order to find a solution to the islands fresh water problems, the region of Gotland and the Swedish Environmental Institute (IVL) have initiated a project in which the southernmost part of Gotland, Storsudret, will be used as a test site for new methods of sustainable freshwater storage and extraction methods.
