  1. 1. A Conjugate Residual Solver with Kernel Fusion for massive MIMO Detection

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad/Centrum för forskning om tillämpade intelligenta system (CAISR)

    Author : Ioannis Broumas; [2023]
    Keywords : MIMO; massive MIMO; GPU; CUDA; Software Defined Radio; SDR; MMSE; ZF; zero-forcing; parallel detection; iterative methods; conjugate residual; parallel computing; kernel fusion;

    Abstract : This thesis presents a comparison of a GPU implementation of the Conjugate Residual method as a sequence of generic library kernels against implementations ofthe method with custom kernels to expose the performance gains of a keyoptimization strategy, kernel fusion, for memory-bound operations which is to makeefficient reuse of the processed data. For massive MIMO the iterative solver is to be employed at the linear detection stageto overcome the computational bottleneck of the matrix inversion required in theequalization process, which is 𝒪(𝑛3) for direct solvers. 2. 2. Improvement of Prevas’ AB quality management system according to ISO 13485:2016 : As a parallel project with the fictive development of ViroDetect for Sweden Diagnostics AB

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad materialvetenskap

    Author : Sophie Klingspor; Niclas Svensson; [2023]
    Keywords : continuous improvement; ISO; ISO 13485:2016; ISO 14971:2020; quality management; quality management system; requirement specification; risk management; ISO; ISO 13485:2016; ISO 14971:2020; kravspecifikation; kvalitetsledning; kvalitetsledningssystem; riskhantering; ständig förbättring.;

    Abstract : Quality management system’s (QMS) describes how organisations control their interconnected processes through four elements defined as quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement to achieve quality through stakeholder satisfaction. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) develops certifiable international standards for quality management. READ MORE

  3. 3. PAMPaR: Parallel Analysis of miRNAs, Proteins and RNAs. Dynamic Profiles of miRNAs, mRNAs and Specific Proteins in Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells Differentiating into Neural Precursors

    University essay from KTH/Proteinvetenskap

    Author : Amelie Carlström; [2023]
    Keywords : PAMPaR; SPARC; Proximity extension assay; Neuronal differentiation; Mouse embryonic stem cells; PAMPaR; SPARC; Proximity extension assay; Neuronal differentiering; embryonala musstamceller;

    Abstract : MikroRNA-molekyler (miRNA) är viktiga icke-kodande RNA-molekyler för post-transkriptionell reglering av proteinkodande gener. De har även effekter på många cellulära processer såsom differentiering. De biosyntetiska reaktioner som skapar miRNA involverar proteiner som själva regleras av miRNA. READ MORE

  4. 4. Clustering on groups for human tracking with 3D LiDAR

    University essay from Umeå universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Author : Simon Utterström; [2023]
    Keywords : Computer Vision; Computer Science; AI; Machine Learning; clustering; Kernel Density Clustering; tracking; LiDAR; 3D LiDAR; tracking; human; pedestrian; real time; Datavetenskap; Dataseende; clustering; SLR; CVC; KDEG; KDE; Kernel Density Clustering; HDBSCAN; DBSCAN; LiDAR; point cloud; tracking; human; pedestrian;

    Abstract : 3D LiDAR people detection and tracking applications rely on extracting individual people from the point cloud for reliable tracking. A recurring problem for these applications is under-segmentation caused by people standing close or interacting with each other, which in turn causes the system to lose tracking. READ MORE

  5. 5. Improving Dependability of Space-Cloud Payload Processor by Storage System

    University essay from Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Author : Hassan Said; Stephanie Liza Johansson; [2023]
    Keywords : Fault tolerant; Markov analysis; Onboard processing; SSD array architecture; SSD; EDAC; RAID; Hamming code; Reed Solomon; Dependability evaluation; File systems; ZFS; Ext4.;

    Abstract : Due to the usage of complicated platforms and current high-performance space computing technology, onboard processing in small satellites is expanding. Space-cloud payload processors with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components, that are required to be radiation-tolerant, are used to perform the onboard processing. READ MORE
