  1. 1. Mixed material bonding : Effects of the properties of the adhesive on the thermal shape distortion

    University essay from Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap

    Author : Maialen Areitioaurtena Oiartzun; [2016]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Adhesive bond-line read-through is the terminology used in the automotive industry that describes a visible distortion of an adherent over the adhesive bond-line. Usually, this is a result of the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion of the substrates and the adhesive. READ MORE

  2. 2. Experimental study of a dielectric elastomer

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Mujtaba Al-Ibadi; [2015]
    Keywords : electroactive; polymer; EAP; dielectric; elastomer; SAXS; WAXS; DIC; artificial; muscle; experimental; VHB; x-ray; scattering; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : A number of different experiments on a dielectric elastomer, VHB 4910, were performed: uniaxial tensile strain tests, in situ SAXS/WAXS measurements of a sample under uniaxial tensile loading and DIC measurements of an electrically loaded circular sample with simultaneous force measurements around the circular boundary using a novel method developed in this thesis. The results are presented and analysed mainly from an experimental perspective. READ MORE

  3. 3. Analysis of oil content in the transgenic lines and wild-type of Lepidium campestre

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Author : Philip Berg; [2014]
    Keywords : Lepidium campestre; Oljeanalys; Gaskromathografi; Vitrioscilla; Hemoglobingen;

    Abstract : The world's population is increasing and will be reaching up to 9 billion by 2050. More food needs to be produced in order to satisfy the growing demand in the future. Meanwhile there are increased focuses on the food we produce, which are healthier and have less negative impact on the environment. READ MORE

  4. 4. In vitro regeneration of four Hypoxis species and transformation of Camelina sativa and Crambe abyssinica

    University essay from SLU/MOVIUM

    Author : Busie Esther Nsibande; [2012]
    Keywords : Agrobacterium; biotechnology; Camelina sativa; Crambe abyssinica; Hypoxis; In vitro propagation; regeneration; transformation; vacuum infiltration;

    Abstract : The advance of science and biotechnology has made it possible to prevent the complete loss of plant species by providing propagation methods that are fast and can result in the mass production of exact copies of the targeted plant species. Genetic transformation has become a useful instrument in the introduction of new traits to plants such as increased yield and disease resistance. READ MORE
