  1. 1. Algorithms in feed-based SNS and their influence on digital platform User Habits : A quantitative study of the link between algorithms in feed-based SNS and user habits amongst high-school and university students in Sweden

    University essay from Jönköping University/JTH, Avdelningen för datateknik och informatik

    Author : Viktor Brindmark; Gustav Wickström; [2023]
    Keywords : Social networking sites SNS ; Algorithms in SNS; Social media algorithms; Social Media user habits; Feed-based social media;

    Abstract : This research intended to investigate how the arising SNS component of algorithms acts as a mediator for affecting SNS user habits amongst high school and university students in Sweden. The testing of this specific correlation was realized by first investigating previous research regarding algorithms, various components of user habits, and the complementary component of algorithm awareness separately. 2. 2. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik

    Author : Andreas Stokkeland; [2023]
    Keywords : Multiplicity; Multiplicity classes; Soft interactions; Quark Gluon Plasma; QGP; transverse momentum; p_T; Chi-squared; fits; fit functions; Levy; Lévy; Exponential; BGBW; Boltzmann-Gibbs blast-wave; Fermi-Dirac; Bose-Einstein; Boltzmann; pion; kaon; proton; transverse momentum spectra; p_T spectra; surface velocity; Minimum Bias; MB; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 3. 3. Player Environmental Awareness: Rules of Thumb for Environmental Storytelling in Role-Playing Games

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Author : SAMIR AOUN; CHI HONG CHAO; [2022-11-23]
    Keywords : Environmental Storytelling; Rules of Thumb; Guidelines; Environmental Awareness; Game Design; RPGs; Open World Games; Level Design;

    Abstract : Environmental Storytelling is ”Staging player-space with environmental properties that can be interpreted as a meaningful whole, furthering the narrative of the game”. While many techniques present methods to guide players within levels or immerse the player, few are specifically targeted towards environmental storytelling and how players can be attracted to environmental storytelling. 4. 4. Microstructural characterization of quench annealed duplex SAF 2507 utilizing EBSD

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad materialvetenskap

    Author : Simon Beyermann; [2022]
    Keywords : sigma phase; chi phase; electron backscatter diffraction; super duplex stainless steel; recrystallization; SAF 2507 UNS S32750 .;

    Abstract : Producing large bars of duplex stainless steel free from precipitated embrittling phases isdifficult due to the many factors that influence precipitation. Research shows that intermetallicslike sigma and chi deteriorate principal material properties for the main application areas. READ MORE
