  1. 6. Improving the Accuracy of FFT-based GPGPU Ocean Surface Simulations

    University essay from Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Author : Jacob Eriksson; Joakim Wingård; [2022-12-01]
    Keywords : computer graphics; 3D graphics; real-time rendering; Fourier transform; FFT; simulation; GPGPU; interactive; ocean wave spectrum; oceanography;

    Abstract : In this paper, we explore how the current state of the art in real-time ocean simulations can be improved in terms of simulation accuracy, while preserving performance. Current methods, both in academia and in the industry, simulate an ocean model in frequency space on the GPU, convert said model on an approximately frame-byframe basis to the spatial domain using the Fourier transform, and then read back the resulting heightfield to the CPU as input to the application’s physics engine. 2. 7. Investigation of Registration Methods for High Resolution SAR-EO Imagery

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Datorseende

    Author : Niclas Hansson; [2022]
    Keywords : SAR; FFT; MI; Image Registration;

    Abstract : With advancements in space technology, remote sensing applications, and computer vision, significant improvements in the data describing our planet are seen today. Researchers want to gather different kinds of data and perform data fusion techniques between them to increase our understanding of the world. READ MORE

  3. 8. Using HLS for Acceleration of FPGA Development: A 3780-Point FFT Case Study

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Datorteknik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Author : Christoffer Hejdström; [2022]
    Keywords : 3780; hls; fpga;

    Abstract : Manually designing hardware for fpga implementations is time consuming. Onepossible way to accelerate the development of hardware is to use high level syn-thesis (hls) tools. Such tools synthesizes a high level model written in a languagesuch as c++ into hardware. READ MORE

  4. 9. Characterizing coil windings noise due to compressive fault currents : A study to determine if there is a characteristic noise from transformer windings due to fault currents

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Simon Lundgren; [2022]
    Keywords : Transformer windings; short circuit forces; current pulses; microphone; Comsol Multiphysics; FFT; Transformator lindningar; strömpulser; mikrofon; kortslutingskrafter; Comsol Multiphysics; FFT;

    Abstract : Transformers are essential for modern power distribution system. They are efficient and enable the voltages to be transformed up for transportation of electricity and back down for consumer use. The reliability of the transformer is affected by faults and fatigue of the copper. READ MORE

  5. 10. A Graphical User Interface for IR-image-based Process Analysis : A tool for assessing root causes in paperboard variability

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för systemteknik

    Author : Sabina Westergren Ahlin; Agnes Höglund; [2022]
    Keywords : paperboard; variability; FFT; Fast Fourier Transform; Fourier transform; app; application; GUI; Graphical User Interface;

    Abstract : Paperboard is produced in a large and complex process where many parameters can affect its quality. The common methods of analysing paperboard quality are through traversing point-like sensors that only measure a very small fraction of the produced paperboard. READ MORE
