  1. 1. The effect of high pressure homogenization on emulsions containing oat β-glucan : a study of viscosity, stability and molecular weight

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Author : Dominika Kiesling; [2023]
    Keywords : oat; β-glucan; high pressure homogenization; emulsion; stability; food technology; Agriculture and Food Sciences;

    Abstract : This master thesis project has been conducted in cooperation with Lantmännen AB who are producers of PromOat® - an oat β-glucan powder concentrate. The main objective of this thesis was to investigate the properties of emulsions containing PromOat® oat β-glucan, focusing on the viscosity, stability, and molecular weight before and after high pressure homogenization (HPH) at pressures of 100, 150 and 200 bars. 2. 2. Asymptotic Symmetries and Dressed States in QED and QCD

    University essay from Stockholms universitet/Fysikum

    Author : Saimeng Zhou; [2023]
    Keywords : Dressed states; Large gauge transformation; Faddeev-Kulish formalism; Generalized coherent state operator; Wilson line; Infrared divergence; Asymptotic Hamiltonian; QED; QCD;

    Abstract : Infrared divergences arising in theories with massless gauge bosons have been shown to cancel in scattering amplitudes when using dressed states constructed from the Faddeev- Kulish approach to the asymptotic states. It has been established that these states are closely related to asymptotic symmetries of the theory, that is, non-vanishing gauge trans- formations at the asymptotic boundary. READ MORE

  3. 3. Scattering of Charge Carriers in 2+1-Dimensional Quantum Field Theory

    University essay from Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)

    Author : David Savinainen; [2023]
    Keywords : Quantum field theory; Scattering; S-matrix; Hannesdottir; Schwartz;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to examine the hard $S$-matrix for QED and QCD, due to Hannesdottir and Schwartz [1], both recreating known results, and finding new results in lower dimensions. Electrons by themselves are not gauge invariant, and in the massless limit do not give finite $S$-matrix elements for individual processes; one needs to add together seemingly arbitrary combinations of diagrams in order to be able to calculate the scattering cross-section. 4. 4. Pose classification of people using high resolution radar indoor

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Author : Anton Almqvist; Anton Kuusela; [2022]
    Keywords : indoor radar; FMCW radar; point cloud; classification; Machine learning; Deep learning; PointNet; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Video cameras are the primary equipment used for indoor surveillance. There are however areas where alternatives are needed as the use of cameras is sensitive or forbidden, e.g. in homes, bathrooms or dressing rooms. READ MORE

  5. 5. Cost Estimation of Additive Manufacturing : A case study of TylöHelo Company's Sauna Product

    University essay from Högskolan i Halmstad

    Author : Fredin Thimothi; Sreejesh Chathengattil Sreenivasan; [2021]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The concept of Additive Manufacturing (AM) has been used extensively for a long time now, with many industries embracing it. In this modern lifestyle, peoples need to be different not only in their dressing styles but also to change their outlook on their living room interior, their homes, their gardening, and every aspect of their life.
