  1. 36. Web-based prototype for protecting controllers from existing cyber-attacks in an industrial control system

    University essay from KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Author : Pa Sanyang; [2020]
    Keywords : ICS; SCADA; Modbus; Honeypot; Conpot; Cyber attacks; MITM; DoS; Flooding; Reverse proxy server; AWS; ICS; SCADA; Modbus; Honeypot; Conpot; Cyber attacks; MITM; DoS; Flooding; Reverse proxy server; AWS;

    Abstract : Industrial control system or ICS is a critical part of the infrastructure in society. An example of ICS is the rail networks or energy plants like the nuclear plant. SCADA is an ICS system following a hierarchical structure. Due to the fact that a control system can be very large, monitoring remote through networks is an effective way to do so. READ MORE

  2. 37. Analysis of Mouse Whisker Movement Synchronicity

    University essay from KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Author : Johanna Elisabeth de Voogel; [2020]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In active sensing, sensory organs are actively controlled by the motor system to optimize stimuli acquisition. Coupling behaviour of animal models with electrophysiological signals could give us important insights in the workings of this active sensing in health and disease. In this work, a contribution is made towards this aim. READ MORE

  3. 38. Is knowledge enough? : A qualitative study investigating the knowledge-action gap of environmental science students

    University essay from Linköpings universitet/Tema Miljöförändring

    Author : Sandra Karlsson; Alexandra Lindström; [2020]
    Keywords : Knowledge-action gap; attitude-behavior gap; behavioral change; climate change; climate psychology; environmental psychology; environmental science; environmental education.; Knowledge-action gap; attitude-behavior gap; beteendevetenskap; klimatförändringar; klimatpsykologi; miljöpsykologi; miljövetenskap; miljöutbildning.;

    Abstract : In order to slow down, if not stop, climate change, we all need to contribute to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. This knowledge has been with us for a long time, but nevertheless emissions have not decreased, but rather increased. To understand the reason why we don't act in line with what we know, we need to study behaviors. READ MORE

  4. 39. How Substances in Agricultural Waste Material Can Be Used as Active Ingredients in Skin Care Products

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Keywords : Cosmetics; Skin care; Active substances; Agriculture; Skin aging; Pharmaceutical technology; Läkemedelsteknologi; Technology and Engineering;

    Abstract : Aging of the skin is an inevitable process that occurs throughout a lifetime and exposure to environmental pollutants is a factor accelerating this process. Phytochemicals present in plants possess biological activities known to protect or repair the skin cells and when used in skin care products they can slow down the skin aging process. READ MORE

  5. 40. Extended walking in room-scale VR via a subtle situation-based rotation of the virtual environment while maintaining a full sense of presence

    University essay from KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Author : Johannes Karlsson; [2020]
    Keywords : Virtual reality; locomotion technique; redirecting;

    Abstract : Assuming that the emergence of inside-out positional tracking in commercially available VR systems indicate a future where room-scale VR is experienced more freely, there is a demand for adaptable and immersive VR locomotion techniques that while enabling real walking overcomes the physical restrictions of a play space without the use of additional hardware. Hence, the purpose of this study was to explore the hypothesis that a subtle situation-based rotation of the immersive virtual environment (IVE) around the user can free up physically restricted virtual space and enable extended real walking in room-scale VR, while a full sense of presence is maintained.
