  1. 11. The Influence of Pigment Additives on the Barrier Properties of Dispersion Coatings

    University essay from KTH/Fiber- och polymerteknologi

    Author : Malin Eriksson; [2022]
    Keywords : dispersion coating; paper products; pigment; sustainable development; circular economy; Dispersionsbarriär; pappersprodukter; pigment; hållbar utveckling; cirkulär ekonomi;

    Abstract : Att minska plastavfall och uppmuntra återvinning har fått hög prioritet i många affärsverksamheter och olika typer av regleringar implementeras för att minska den negativa påverkan av plastanvändningen. Papper och kartong består i huvudsak av cellulosa som har många egenskaper som är essentiella för en hållbar ekonomi (t.ex. READ MORE

  2. 12. Baggalútar from Hvalfjörður (Iceland): Enigmatic spheroids of hydrothermally altered basaltic tephra

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Mineralogi, petrologi och tektonik

    Author : Emmie Djuse; [2022]
    Keywords : Baggalútar; Iceland; basalt; Hvalfjörður; zeolites; volcanic spherulite; spheroids; Baggalútar; Island; basalt; Hvalfjörður; zeoliter; vulkaniska sfäruliter; sfäroider;

    Abstract : Baggalútar are well-rounded spheroids that typically measures 16-18 mm in size and have a brownreddish appearance. They can be found in the Hvalfjörður bay in SW Iceland. READ MORE

  3. 13. Analysis of hot workability in 316L steel using ductile fracture criterions

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Author : Viktor Strid; [2022]
    Keywords : Ductile fracture criterion; Finite Element Method; Hot working; 316L Stainless Steel; Fracture Modeling; Gleeble; Hot deformation;

    Abstract : The focus of this thesis is to develop a simulation model for predicting ductile fractures during hot working at Alleima. The main fracture mechanism in these conditions is ductile fracture by void coalescence. The ductile fractures are caused by the linking of voids that appear when there is large plastic deformation near second-phase particles. READ MORE

  4. 14. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique

    University essay from KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Gustav Thessén; [2022]
    Keywords : µ-CT modelling; phase-field method; bio-glass scaffolds; strength assessment; Mikrotomografi; μ-CT; fasfältsmetoden; bio-glas stödstrukturer; brottgräns;

    Abstract : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold. 5. 15. The use of advantages within emerging market enterprises to 'plug' institutional voids

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik, konst och samhälle

    Author : Lina Jatko; [2022]
    Keywords : Institutional voids; Emerging market; Emerging market enterprises;

    Abstract : Emerging market enterprises (EMMs) are on the rise and are quickly becoming significant contributors to the global economy. The fast-paced growth of EMMs generates an interest in understanding the impact of home country advantages that EMMs have and how they use them. READ MORE
