  1. 6. Neutrino Oscillations and Scalar Non-Standard Interactions at ESSnuSB

    University essay from KTH/Fysik

    Author : William Brorsson; [2023]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This report consists of two parts. Firstly, an introduction to neutrino oscillations is presented. This includes introducing neutrino mass terms into the standard model, the leptonic mixing matrix, neutrino oscillations in vacuum and neutrino oscillations in matter. READ MORE

  2. 7. The Price of Fear : Estimating the economic effect of fear of crimeusing sold apartments in Stockholm, Sweden

    University essay from Uppsala universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Author : Nytell Erik; [2022]
    Keywords : Hedonic pricing model; fixed effects; crime; fear of crime; emotions; heuristics; cognitive bias; behavioral economics; housing prices; Stockholm; Sweden; Hedonisk modell; fixa effekter; brott; rädsla för brott; ekonomiska konsekvenser; bostadspriser; irrationellt tänkande; beteendeekonomi; Stockholm; Sverige;

    Abstract : Fear of crime may differ between areas, even if levels of crime do not differ. Policymakers and companies should be interested in how much economical values individuals put on their emotions. No previous paper has tried to estimate the economic consequences of the kind of fear of crime that does not stem from an increase in crime. READ MORE

  3. 8. Fatigue Life Prediction of a Topology-Optimised Polyamide-12 Part Manufactured with Multi-Jet Fusion Technology

    University essay from KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanik

    Keywords : Fatigue Life; Topology Optimisation; Polyamide-12; PA12; Trötthetsliv; Topologioptimering; Polyamid-12; PA12;

    Abstract : Additive manufacturing methods has been prevailing for several decades and the recent technological advancements brings in the flexibility and consideration for large-scale production in the industries. The components manufactured with these methods have wide variety of applications and therefore, it is crucial to investigate the mechanical performance of the printed parts. READ MORE

  4. 9. Micro-CT based finite element models for mechanical strength assessment of glass ceramic scaffolds obtained through the robocasting technique

    University essay from KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Author : Gustav Thessén; [2022]
    Keywords : µ-CT modelling; phase-field method; bio-glass scaffolds; strength assessment; Mikrotomografi; μ-CT; fasfältsmetoden; bio-glas stödstrukturer; brottgräns;

    Abstract : In this thesis, micro computed tomography (μ−CT) scans of a bio-glass scaffold produced by the robocasting technique was used to create finite element method (FEM) models with the purpose of determining its mechanical strength. Prior to this, a Matlab script was used to create several simplified geometries of the scaffold in an effort to determine the importance of scaffold design parameters (such as the fiber compenetration between two adjacent printing planes) on the strength of the scaffold. 5. 10. A study of Spontenous CP Violation in the Scale Invariant 2HDM

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Author : Jimmy Gunnarsson; [2022]
    Keywords : Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : In this thesis, we study the Higgs mass spectrum and spontaneous CP violation, where one of the Higgs vacuum expectation values acquires a non-trivial phase θ in a Type-I 2HDM. We begin by investigating CP violating effects at tree-level, and then expand our studies by taking into account one-loop radiative corrections. READ MORE
