  1. 16. Positioning and parking analysis for an indoor positioning system : A comparative study between Bluetooth Low Energy and Ultra Wideband technology

    University essay from KTH/Hälsoinformatik och logistik

    Author : August Brodin Kont; [2019]
    Keywords : radio technology; real-time-localization-service; indoor positioning system; Bluetooth Low Energy; Ultra Wideband; accuracy; precision; sensepoint; radioteknologi; realtidslokaliseringstjänst; inomhuspositioneringssystem; Bluetooth Low Energy; Ultra Wideband; noggrannhet; precision; sensepoint;

    Abstract : The work done in this report as requested by H&D Wireless is performed by using an already developed real time positioning system called Griffin Enterprise Positioning Service and integratingit with ultrasound sensors for presence detection in order to enable assets to park in a visualized environment being actualized by tagging the asset with radio technology hardware. The testing environment was deployed with radio technology hardware equipped for transmitting and receiving radio signals for position estimation of tagged objects where hardware tags emits radio signals being received by sensing radio technology chips called sensepoints which also serves as communication links for further data processing. 2. 17. HANDHELD LIDAR ODOMETRY ESTIMATION AND MAPPING SYSTEM

    University essay from Mälardalens högskola/Inbyggda system

    Author : Niclas Holmqvist; [2018]
    Keywords : SLAM; NDT; Normal Distribution Transform; Robotics; IMU; LiDAR; GPS; RTK-GPS; ego-motion; pose estimation;

    Abstract : Ego-motion sensors are commonly used for pose estimation in Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM) algorithms. Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) are popular sensors but suffer from integration drift over longer time scales. To remedy the drift they are often used in combination with additional sensors, such as a LiDAR. READ MORE

  3. 18. Site localisation on bacterial surface proteins using super resolution imaging

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Author : Vibha Kumra; [2018]
    Keywords : super resolution imaging; STED; STORM; streptococcus pyogenes; M protein; Physics and Astronomy;

    Abstract : Several significant pathogenic bacteria exhibit surface proteins that bind human antibodies, preventing them from being recognized by the human immune system. These bacteria are thus protected from elimination and can survive in the host organism. READ MORE

  4. 19. An introductary view into Simultaneous LocalizationAnd Mapping

    University essay from KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)

    Author : Adam Lang; Andreas Fröderberg; [2017]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In recent years autonomous vehicles have gained attention as being the potential future for the automotive industry. A central part of an autonomous vehicle is the way that the vehicle locates itself relative to the surrounding environment. READ MORE

  5. 20. Development of a Novel Relative Localization Sensor

    University essay from Luleå tekniska universitet/Rymdteknik

    Author : Anton Kohlbacher; [2017]
    Keywords : Relative Localization; Ultra-wideband; Particle Swarm Optimization; Swarm Robotics; Trilateration; Angulation;

    Abstract : By enabling coordinated task execution and movement, robotic swarms can achieve efficient exploration or disaster site management. When utilizing Ultra-wideband (UWB) radio technology for ranging, the proposed relative localization sensor can be made lightweight and relatively indifferent to the ambient environment. READ MORE
