    Abstract : To develop anaerobic digestion (AD), innovative solutions to increase methane yields in existing AD processes are needed. In particular, the adoption of low energy pre-treatments to enhance biomass biodegradability is needed to provide efficient digestion processes increasing profitability. READ MORE

  2. 12. Att förverkliga drömmar : en fallstudie om beslutsprocessen vid investeringar i gårdsbaserad biogas

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Economics

    Author : Karolina Gahne; Sebastian Remvig; [2016]
    Keywords : abduktion; biogas; beslutsfattande; investering; lantbruk; nyttomaximering; hållbarhet;

    Abstract : För att samhället ska nå de mål som sattes upp vid klimatmötet i Paris 2015 behöver investeringar i hållbara lösningar ske redan nu. I Sverige står lantbruket för ungefär 22 % av utsläppen av växthusgaser. READ MORE

  3. 13. Investigation of the combustion behavior in a fluidized reactor with oxygen carriers as bed material

    University essay from KTH/Energi- och ugnsteknik

    Author : Carl Kajnäs; [2016]
    Keywords : Bed materials; Fluidized bed combustion; Gaseous fuels; Oxygen carrier aided combustion; Oxygen carriers.;

    Abstract : The behavior of using oxygen carriers as bed material in a fluidized bed combustion was investigated in this work when methane, air and carbon monoxide, air are used as fluidizing gases. More specifically, conversion rate, unsteadiness and gas composition was investigated and it was found that the conversion rate of carbon monoxide and methane are higher when oxygen carriers are used as bed material compared to silica sand and that the highest conversion rate was for oxygen carriers with high oxygen transport capacity and high reactivity towards the gaseous fuel. 4. 14. Djupströbäddar i fårproduktionen : dess egenskaper samt alternativa strömedel

    University essay from SLU/Dept. of Agricultural Research for Northern Sweden

    Author : Janina Nihlstrand; [2013]
    Keywords : får; djupströbädd; kompostering; strömedel;

    Abstract : I dagens svenska fårproduktion hålls de flesta djuren på djupströbäddar av halm under stallperioden. Att få till en väl fungerande djupströbädd som brinner kan ibland upplevas som en utmaning då den mikroorganiska aktiviteten som sker i bädden är en komplicerad process. READ MORE

  5. 15. Estimating contemporary methane emissions from tropical wetlands using multiple modelling approaches

    University essay from Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Author : Shubangi Lamba; [2012]
    Keywords : LPJ-GUESS; uppskalning; modellering; tropisk våtmark; metanutsläpp; methane emissions; tropical wetlands; modelling; upscaling; physical geography; ecosystem analysis; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Abstract : Estimating contemporary methane emissions from tropical wetlands using multiple modelling approaches Methane gas makes a significant contribution to the greenhouse effect happening on the planet. In modern times, natural wetlands are the biggest source of methane gas as compared to other sources of natural origin. READ MORE
